A WWE Toy From The 1980s Is Worth $5,000 In 2025
WWE toys generally have wide-ranging values based on their condition and scarcity (rarity plus demand), but collectors can cash in for sizeable dollars on one particular vinyl figurine of an exceptionally large man: Andre the Giant, nicknamed the 8th Wonder of the World. How large was he? It can be hard to tease the reality about his true height and weight from WWE exaggerations. Reports have claimed that Andre stood anywhere from nearly 7 feet tall to 7 feet 4 inches, and weighed anywhere from 380 to 555 pounds. What is clear, though, is that he wore size 22 shoes and was one seriously big dude.
Besides standing out because of his size, Andre also had his own action figure before this became a staple of WWE stars. His Japanese-crafted soft figure was manufactured in 1981, and if a collector is lucky enough to have one with the accompanying cards with everything in mint condition, it could be worth $5,000, according to Sportster. In February 2025, one seller on eBay listed an unopened figure of Andre the Giant for $1,352.99 with wrinkles on the back of the package and small dents in the plastic on the front. Another unopened one was listed for $1,499.00 with a note that import duties for buyers outside of Japan weren't included. Lower-priced ones on eBay were also available, but these were sometimes not in the packaging or were in a more used condition.
Andre memorabilia is worth big bucks
Andre's WWE figure isn't the only valuable memorabilia of the famous wrestler. One especially quirky figure, Mattel's Hollywood Collection, shows Andre as Bigfoot. Created nearly 30 years after his untimely death from congestive heart failure in 1993, this toy celebrated his career in television. One was up for sale on eBay in August 2025 for $124.99. If you're interested in autographed photos of Andre, Sports Collectibles offers a range of them at pretty eye-popping prices. For example, a certified signed photo of this massive wrestler on crutches with a foot cast was marked down from $21,507.87 to $16,130.90. A magazine page containing the photos of four WWE wrestlers with autographs from Andre the Giant and Curt Hennig (known as Mr. Perfect in the ring) was being sold for $17,854.76, marked down from $23,806.35. Want a full-page autograph of Andre with nothing else on the sheet? One eBay seller was asking an incredible $5,999.95.
Andre's image appeared in multiple other formats over the years, too, beyond action figures and signed photos. If your family collected Garbage Pail Kids' cards, for example, flip through the cartoon images to see if there's one for Gigantic Andre as he squeezes and stomps other wrestlers who are portrayed as tiny figures to emphasize Andre's size. A card in near mint condition, no longer in its original packaging, went for sale on eBay for $149.99. A patch from Topps Heritage in excellent condition was going for $99.
More action toys worth money
Another WWE toy that's worth money is the Undertaker. Like Andre the Giant, the Undertaker's unique persona attracted plenty of WWE fans; although Andre did so by leveraging his physical size, the Undertaker used makeup and costuming to create an eerie appearance. According to Work+Money, one Undertaker Hasbro Series 8 figure sold in the U.K. for $711 while an autographed one went for a cool $1,000.
It's not just WWE action figures, though, that can rake in the dough. A 1960s Batman toy can be worth $30,000; the one on sale in August 2025 for that price on eBay is the rare blonde version of Batgirl. Although used, it's listed as in very good condition for its age with non-brittle hair, and it comes with a clean cape, boots, and mask. McDonald's 2017 Nintendo-themed toys are also worth lots of cash. This refers to a set of eight figures: Mario, Yoshi, Luigi, Bowser, Princess Peach, Red Shell, Invincible Mario, and 1-Up Mushroom. Work+Money reported on a February 2022 sale of the set for $80.
