The Old 'Undertaker' WWE Toy That Could Be Worth More Than $700
Picture the scene. Thousands of people enthusiastically gather around a wrestling ring, surrounded by ear-splitting sounds, ready to cheer on their favorite wrestler — or boo the vile villain. For 30 years, starting in the 1990s, one particular World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) character, The Undertaker, terrified opponents and won multiple championships. He built up a strong fan base over the years with one Undertaker fan club page on Facebook numbering nearly 50,000, while numerous other Undertaker fan clubs exist around the world (and internet).
This popularity has boosted demand for his collectibles and, today, some have significant value. This includes the original Undertaker figurine from the ToyFare Glow-In-The-Dark WWE Classic Superstars collection. According to Work and Money, per The Sportster, one UK seller pocketed a cool $790 for this figurine. One likely reason for this specific action figure's value is its scarcity. The manufacturer only made one batch of 100 figurines for ToyFare Magazine to release to adoring fans.
Other valuable Undertaker toys
While only a limited number of lucky Undertaker fans possess the ToyFare Glow-In-The-Dark WWE Classic Superstar, Work & Money named another Deadman collectible in their list of Most Valuable Wrestling Toys and Action Figures. No. 43 on their list: the red card Undertaker figure from the Hasbro Series 8, capable of performing the wrestler's signature Tombstone Tackle movement. The action figure's value can range from $200-$700 with the condition of the toy determining the value. Many collectibles' experts grade action figures on a scale up to 100 with higher figures indicating better condition. In the UK, one with the grade of 85 sold for $711, while an autographed one sold for $1,000.
Would-be collectors are likely to find more down-to-earth sales price on eBay. For example, a preowned 1998 Jakks Pacific WrestleMania XV action figure that comes with a bonus figure of the Undertaker's spokesperson, Paul Bearer, has an asking price of $59.99, as of May 2025.
Preserving the condition of action figures
If you own any figurines still in their original packaging, keep it that way. To get the most money when selling, it's important to maintain the current condition of your WWE figurines, as well as other action figures like iconic Transformer toys, Star Wars collectibles, and even Funko Pop! figures. If a figurine is already out of its packaging, then experts recommend using a fig bath – a way to clean figurines without harming their condition. Plus, you should store the figurines out of direct sunlight, and only in places where humidity doesn't exceed 50%.
A small number of professional groups grade action figures, and their determinations can play a key role in how much a buyer will pay. Top experts in the industry include the Collector Archives Services, and the Collectible Grading Authority. The latter group encompasses the Action Figure Authority (AFA), which uses the Standard, Qualified, and Loose grading scales with scores of 10 to 100 in order to evaluate an action figure's condition. Ends of the spectrum include 10, which means very poor (VP), and 100, which means gem mint (GEM MT). The AFA also uses the Modern Grading Scale of 1 to 10. Toys receiving a grade up to 7 are bronze level, ones through 8.5 are silver, and the rest reach gold status.
