These organizations focus on giving drivers and car owners value-oriented advice, which makes them powerful resources for budget-conscious buyers. They each source data from dedicated teams of testers alongside consumer testimony, and offer rankings based on how each model they report on performs.

Based on these tests, CR and KBB have both published their respective lists of the best and most reliable cars of 2026. Japanese brands like Toyota, Subaru, Honda, and Lexus dominate the rankings, but of the hundreds of cars these websites review each year, the 2026 Honda Accord has maintained an especially strong position in the eyes of both publications.

While the 2026 Honda Accord appears as a strong reliability candidate, one important caveat is that it's still a new model year in 2026.
