Aldi has built its grocery empire by keeping prices as low as possible for customers, and the chain has built over 200 more stores in 2025. Even so, the chain maintains the cheapest U.S. price for a pound of ground beef during a time when beef prices are sky-high. All of this is to say, whatever December finds Aldi has on the menu, they are bound to be low-cost and potentially high quality.

This year, Aldi's December finds include everything from peppermint chocolate-covered pretzels and gingerbread ninjas to seasoned leg of lamb and a variety of decor items, toys, and decorative housewares. Having just made their debut, these items have already inspired excited best-of lists in publications and countless social media posts featuring sneak peeks. The best finds on our list are truly special, seasonal items you won't see on Aldi shelves the rest of the year. These picks are aimed at inexpensive entertaining, gifting, and relaxing in the holiday-packed month of December — often the most expensive spending month for most Americans. Winter holidays like Christmas, Kwanzaa, and Hanukkah all focus on feasting with the family, but a meat dish may be the most expensive item on the menu of a festive get-together. For example, Aldi offers a Specially Selected Rosemary & Garlic Seasoned Lamb Leg Roast in December for $7.49 per pound. Most portions are at 2.5 pounds, or $18.73 total. The cut is boneless, as well as hormone and antibiotic free, as is Aldi's unseasoned lamb leg roast, which is priced the same.

Making slow-cooker barbecue and grape jelly meatballs can be an inexpensive way to cook up a big main course, especially if using Aldi's 132-count, 32-ounce package of Bremer Mini Meatballs for $6.49. Aldi also sells a Bremer Party Size Lasagna With Meat Sauce this December, with an 84-ounce package going for $12.99. You'll also find an 8-ounce pack of wild-caught Maine lobster tails for $12.99.

The winter holidays may not scream "sugar" — it's more like a soft whisper that doesn't cease throughout the entire month of December. Aldi also stocks special "Aldi Play" block sets, usually only in December. In 2025, Aldi sells a 385-piece Food Market Block set, which features a buildable Aldi register and food shelf display, for $9.99.
