Consumer Reports Says This Iconic Sports Car Ranks Highest For Customer Satisfaction

When it comes to success in the American auto industry, few brands are as prolific as Chevrolet. The company, part of the greater General Motors house, has GM stock trading at a 10-year high. General Motors has even survived one of the largest car recalls in recent history, which cost them a ton of money. This is in part due to a high level of customer satisfaction from Chevrolet buyers, particularly those who purchase the brand's luxury vehicles. Foremost amongst these offerings is the iconic Chevrolet Corvette, first produced in 1953, which has become a classic car that's worth a small fortune now.

The 2025 Corvette has killed it in customer satisfaction following its release. Consumer Reports declared it as one of the highest-rated road-tested vehicles ever run on their track, with an incredible score of 97. The report also stated that 92% of owners claimed they would buy the vehicle again. The drive quality and feel of the Corvette are what set it apart, and the vehicle is increasingly affordable in the supercar space, with models coming in at under $70,000. The speed and power of the model also set it apart from the most affordable luxury cars you can buy in 2025.

Drive quality and a new design make the Corvette a favorite

The first production of the Corvette had racing in mind, built out of fiberglass panels and given the code name Project Opel. The idea from Chevrolet at this time was to bring racing-level speed to a consumer market, something they have continued to do for the past half-century. Models have come a long way since then, becoming more aerodynamic and lower to the ground, all with the car staying under $70,000 since 2020.

Innovation has continued, as the Corvette has progressed to a rear middle engine alignment, and now it even has a fully electric model. These features, combined with a high amount of internal safety measures, solid transmission, and sharp handling, are what lead to an 82-point overall score by Consumer Reports. The only thing that has brought the model down in the eyes of consumers is the relatively low predicted reliability compared to other luxury cars like the Mazda Miata. The prediction is due to low fuel economy and several recalls, including gas line and seatbelt malfunctions. This has not been a sticking point for owners though, as the model has stayed popular and highly rated.
